The Seventh-day Adventist Church is gearing up for its 62nd General Conference (GC) Session, set to take place from July 3–12, 2025, at the America’s Center Convention Complex in St. Louis, Missouri. This monumental event, held every five years, will unite over 2,800 delegates and an estimated 100,000 attendees from the church’s 23-million-member global community for a blend of worship, decision-making, and fellowship.

A Return to St. Louis

St. Louis holds a special place in Adventist history, having hosted the GC Session twice before (2005 and a scaled-down 2022 event). The 2025 gathering marks a return to the full 10-day format, reflecting the church’s post-pandemic recovery and growth. Since 2005, the denomination has expanded by over 9 million members, underscoring its rapid global reach.

What to Expect in 2025

  • Leadership Elections: Delegates will vote on key church matters and elect leaders for the General Conference and its 13 global divisions.
  • Exhibit Hall: A 232,000-square-foot space will showcase Adventist initiatives in health, education, and humanitarian work, alongside interactive booths from supporting ministries.
  • Worship & Music: Daily concerts and performances will highlight the church’s cultural diversity, featuring groups like Oakwood University’s Aeolians and Brazil’s Arautos do Rei. Three pre-session concerts and midday programs at Ferrara Theater aim to foster unity through music.
  • Community Impact: Local Adventist congregations are organizing outreach efforts, including a Pathways to Health event (May 4–9, 2025) offering free healthcare to underserved communities. These initiatives align with the North American Division’s “Pentecost 2025” evangelism campaign.

A Legacy of Global Gatherings

Since its first meeting in 1863 with just 20 delegates, GC Sessions have shaped the church’s identity. Historic milestones include the adoption of the 27 Fundamental Beliefs in 1980 and the addition of a 28th belief (“Growing in Christ”) in 2005. The 2025 session will build on this legacy, addressing topics critical to the church’s future.

Join the Experience

Attendees can access event details, purchase meal tickets, and explore housing options via the GC Session website or the upcoming mobile app. Whether participating in worship, networking, or community service, the event promises to inspire and unite Adventists worldwide.

About the Seventh-day Adventist Church: With over 23 million members across 210 countries, the Adventist Church emphasizes biblical teachings, holistic health, and hope in Jesus. The 2025 GC Session embodies its mission to uplift communities and share a message of global healing.
