The Seventh-day Adventists believe that understanding humanity's nature involves knowing our origins, being created in God's image, and recognising our fallen state. Humans were formed from dust, given life by God, and crafted uniquely in His image, implying individuality and the capacity to think and choose freely.

Adam and Eve's disobedience led to humanity's loss of perfection, marred the image of God within them, and introduced sin and death. Despite this fall, God offers redemption through Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice restores our relationship with Him. Rather than relying on our deeds, we must accept God's grace to heal our sinful nature and draw closer to Him.

The Bible guides Adventists in understanding human identity and encourages a relationship with God for ultimate restoration and eternal life with Him.
