Global Youth Day (GYD) was launched on 13 March 2013 with support from GC Administration, 13 Division youth directors, MENA Union, and the Israel field. The aim is to revive Adventist youth as a global movement dedicated to service, spreading the everlasting gospel and preparing for Jesus Christ's second coming.
True faith involves demonstrating God's love by living out Jesus's gospel commission through selfless acts. Inspired by the parable of the Good Samaritan, GYD's theme is "Be the sermon." GYD is held annually on the third Sabbath of March, with this year's event on 15 March 2025. This event also marks the beginning of Youth Week of Prayer.

The General Conference Youth Ministries Department extends an invitation to young individuals aged 4 to 30 to disseminate the Three Angels Messages in churches, cities, campuses, and unreached nations. "ACT: A Community Transformed" symbolises more than just a logo for the Adventist Youth Ministry; it represents a commitment to God's Great Commission and promotes universal repentance (2 Peter 3:9, NKJV). The pledge "I Will Go" motivates leaders to guide and position youth at the forefront of this mission. This initiative provides a clear and practical strategy to achieve this global vision.
Take pictures and videos of your participation to create memories and inspire those who will come after you.

Ideas for Global Youth Day Outreach 2025
Global Youth Day encourages Adventist youth to engage in community service as part of their faith mission. Churches should assess local needs and plan outreach activities that inspire kindness and integrate the church into the community, ensuring its absence would be noticed if it relocated. Here are some outreach ideas:- Support the Sick or Absent Members - Call or visit with flowers or a meal.
- Aid Families Affected by Tragedy - Write letters, visit, offer counseling, and bring gift baskets.
- Leverage Technology - Share uplifting messages and videos on social media and offer community support.
- Visit Vulnerable Groups - Create care packages, provide meals, and donate clothing.
- Help the Sick and Shut-ins - Prepare food baskets and engage in worship and conversation.
- Orphanage Outreach - Share stories, give toys, and sing songs with the children.
- Nursing Home Visits - Worship, assist with activities, and offer companionship.
- Prison Visits - Distribute literature and personal effects. Worship together and offer companionship.
- Acts of Kindness: - Donate items for patients with long term illnesses, e.g. hair for wig making for cancer patients.
- Food Drives: - Collect non-perishable items for local food banks.
- Read to Children: - Spend time reading to kids to show care.
- Appreciation for Service Workers: - Deliver thank-you gifts to local police and fire departments.
