Familiar spirits

part 2

Are we having relations with the dead? Hmm? If the old man is crucified , why than does it continue living after our baptism?

For our ons soul's sake RECKON it dead.

"... not made brand new at your baptism. "

It seems to be less than profitable to talk about who is right and who is wrong. (that would be standing under the wrong tree). Whether the old man is dead or not, the important thing is what does God have to say about it. He says it is dead and you have been raised up to sit together with Him. Should I look around and say to Him, "That's not true I'm in Arizona and it's hot." Even if we feel that it isn't dead we are to reckon it dead. God speaks in absolutes If he looks at us as incomplete then that is all that we will be. I believe that His look is creative. He must see His work in us as complete. His word speaks completeness. He just asks us to agree with Him.

Rob” That word “new” is not “neos” it is “kainos” meaning “re-newed” NOT “brand new”

I looked up in the lexicon and there is no mention of renewed. But again Rob, you are being distracted from your escape rout by this line of discussion. If you want to think that the old man is alive that is fine but you are told to reckon it dead.

"I am getting stumped"

Precisely!

Rob” You see faith more AS A NOUN, not as a verb as I do.

Does this work for you? Your belief must be challenged daily for it to grow.
Rob, I can't spell for beans and if there wasn't spell check you would think I was from the back woods. I transpose numbers too. So, noun, verb, past participle, double entendre.... I know not. However we both know that we must believe God's word and trust Him to bring to pass what He has promised. Also we should follow His instructions even when it seems the logical.
My motivation for pressing the point that we are indeed dead it's because it closes the door on the erroneous Babylonian teachings of, "Well, you're still weak and you will still sin from time to time but keep your sins confessed up-to-date. You are only human and there's no hope that you'll ever stop sinning until Jesus comes.
There is so much I wish to share but we are being bogged down on this matter.

ROb” show me your link, I would love to watch your video

THis is the 3rd in a series of 4 videos. at marker 2:30 Rev. 12 begins but it is only a part of it. Now, I'm not sure if I made a video on the full topic or not. After you watch it I will share the rest of the story.

Take not that Virgo looks pregnant, she is clothed with the sun, standing on the moon and has the wings of an eagle bur there is more.

The soft ware is iMovie 6 which is not around anymore. There was at least one more video that I wanted to make but never have. It is on my old iMac and some of the files are on hard drives that for reasons unknown will not fire up so I can retrieve them.
I would have to get a newer version of a video editing software.

Hope the link works OK

I am watching your 40 foot bus conversion? amazing !! Are you skilled in woodwork?

Some people think so

Question: Where did your experiences in this presentation come from?

The Egoic self?

19 girls , wow from 3 pregnancies. a parable.

That was a parable that came to me as I began to understand the incarnation

So you would agree with Watson than, that the man child is not a reference to Jesus as a baby? Hmm?

Don't really know what Watson believes as I have only read that one article. However If you mean Rev 12. Well consider if the Rev. was written about things that should shortly come to pass. Also that it was first seen in the stars in 1997, I believe it does not refer to Jesus. I would suggest you take it to your closet and ask Father about if it refers to Jesus. Forget all preconceived ideas and wait on God.

Greetings Le

Le”That which Adam created in union with Satan. The old man the body of sin. That which will never enter heaven

Rob” Yes I can agree with that

Le:The sacrifice of which we understand very little.

Rob” Yes. EGW says why Jesus died is written in the law.

The only judgement that speak of dying in the law is this one

Ex 21:23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,

Hence the Rescuer and the Mischief maker both have to die. Exactly what Day of Atonement is about.

I suspect the mischief maker changed Eve’s and Adam’s genes making them with depraved nature.

The name of Jesus has to be a verb in Hebrew, and the word “yasha” fits. Also the Hebrew word “salvation” a Hebrew variant of “yasha”. Hope this helps.

Le”She also writes that Satan gave them his nature.

Rob” You ARE correct

Le:That confession and repentance will not stop the poison from entering your system and killing you.

Rob” You can repent, but your flesh is no longer holy, if a mischief maker has changed it.

So the whole human race is unfairly damaged by the mischief maker, deceiving humans after they sinned. Unlike angels who sinned and repented and were welcomed back to their former office in heaven.

Le:The truth is that spit wads are not a part of the curriculum.

Rob” Love your poetry wit Le. I am trying to get you, but not sure what you mean?

What is wrong with God gives us access to the divine power house and all you have to do is ask and whatever you ask for is granted. So you learn to become driven by divine power, slowly and more confidently over time? In my two pennies we need to define what the term nature means? With me you are either powered by human power or divine power. The connection via the depraved nature is dead with connected to Jesus.

Le: "Dead men have no propensities. God has given you His Son and He has no propensities to sin.

Rob” You are saying in Jesus we have everything at once, and all our propensities are all dead immediately. I do not find this the case in my Bible verses experience. Can you outline some OT and NT verses that suggest your experiences?

So you are saying we begin as a babe declared sinless and without propensities and we grow in Jesus learning how to become sinless by faith, learning what is already given to you by faith? Is this some like your experience?

Le:"But that does not negate the Gift that is given.

Rob” I see. So how does one obtain this grand gift ? How would I know I have experienced this gift, if it is given to me all at once? How does God know I have truly received the grand gift, if there is no evidence of me accepting His great gift?

I like my way better, sure God gives a grand gift, but you have to support God daily and God supports you daily so you learn to appreciate what is available and given. Hence genuine faith is the process of this support, learning to gain more gratitude of attitude.

Object lesson:

A child rescued by mothers arms scared in a house fire does not appreciate the cost of her personal salvation/ Mummy, the child asks, why are your arms so ugly?

Yes the gift is grand, but once received we not do appreciate the gift, that is where genuine faith comes in and is required. You are received to demonstrate your gratitude of attitude.

Not to earn salvation, but to develop appreciation for it. And to live in it.

Le”There is your answer: declared holy. Its not a process.

Rob” Yes I agree, but genuine faith is a witness to God and yourself that you have gratitude of attitude. This is how Jesus “yada” you. is intimate with you, knows you.

Le:"But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him

Rob” Worketh is human power, believeth is faith, the process of getting divine power to do in you.

Le: "It seems you just contradicted yourself: "cannot become holy"

ROb: Hmm? When a divine power is working in you, that which works in you is holy.

It would be pride to take divine doings as if you were doing them.

Hence we are to remain humble as God works in you.

Le: “But the believer holds on the every word that has come from his Father's mouth. This is how faith grows.

Rob” Hmm? To me genuine faith grows when more divine doings are achieved in your daily life. I am not sure you understand my experiences of genuine faith as EGW teaches, A T Jones teaches and the Hosea 14 teaches? You are suggesting mental assent? I am not sure? Perhaps we speak differently?

Le"To my understanding of scripture the Opposer tries to convince you that the old nature is still alive and when a soul believes the Opposer instead of God, he resurrects the old man. Not really the old man but a familiar spirit like the witch of Endor. Necromancy!

Rob” Hmm? I can relate to some OT on this idea of yours, but more verses point to which power rules over you, rather than the details as you suggest. The old nature is still alive, refers to the faith connection in the Opposer. Is the connection dead through Christ or not?

Le”I too use to believe something of this sort. But it is not according to scripture. You and your flesh nature are dead. Since we are saved by faith our faith will be exercised daily

Rob” Why is our faith in need of exercising if our old nature is dead?

Le”We have the ability to hate evil because we are partaking of His divine nature.

ROb” OK but if our old nature is dead and we are sinless why do you partake of his divine nature, it we already have it fully by faith, as you claim?

Le" Yes it is true.

Rob” OK Why did Peter who had Jesus, walked on the water, but eventually took his eyes off Jesus and sank?

He was in the middle of a miracle but blew his faith connection!

The only answer I can think of for this is

“The mind was willing but the flesh was weak”

So I do not find this dead nature thing you speak of in my experiences of Scripture?

Why does the plants in good soil increase 40, 60 and 100 fold? Why not all the same?

The roots feed on the old nature it seems.

Why did Mary love much when forgiven much and Simeon little when forgiven little, if both have their natures dead in Jesus?

Why did Paul and Barnabas have a barny? if both their old natures are dead?

Why did Jesus get tired and sleepy if His old nature was dead? No evidence the fallen nature was dead, more likely Jesus lived in the old nature, but did not sin, because his genuine faith experience was different to our experiences of genuine faith. We break faith often but Jesus never broke faith.

Le”The Father looks in the believers eyes and sees His Son

Rob” Isn’t this justification? What about sanctification? The process of growing in the Seed. Why is it necessary to grow in Jesus?

Le:""The thing I feared most has come upon me"Job 3:25

Nice thoughts Le.

Le”"He made man. Then He came in person to the world to show its inhabitants how to live sinless lives." Ev 385.

Rob: Yes showed us how to live by faith. (While living in our fallen nature)

Le”We are incapable of surrender. It is divinely supplied by His indwelling.

ROb” Perhaps I am not writing this theme in sentences very well?

Le:"Over the next week or so I began to notice that I was a different person. I didn't talk the same or act the same I truly was a new creature. Never having heard much about what it means to be born again in my Adventist background, I had no idea what had happened to me but it was the most blessed and quiet experience I had ever known I felt clean as a baby.

ROb” wow. It seems our process of knowing God might be different, unique to each person? Loved what you wrote Le.

Better stop or we go over this 30,000 letter limit LOL

Rob” I see. I am sorry. My nit picking analytical nature is letting me down. You are right our old nature is dead in Jesus, so why do we sin so much ?

Is it because we do not truly have faith in Jesus? Or we are trapped in our daily lives of sin?

I told you your story how you polish and smooth your wonderful wood creations of tables (making wood pieces in patterns) until they become renewed every day, until they shine “brand new” fully complete for admiration.

The reason for me being stumped is understanding the word as a noun and verb.

Like I said my nit picking analytical nature is letting me down. You see better than me.

When God declared Job perfect to the Opposer, he was dead to he old man, O yes.

Something we need to obtain too.

Why can't I paste your comments? About your movie software.

I would have to get a newer version of a video editing software.

Rob” Thanks

Le: "I would suggest you take it to your closet and ask Father about if it refers to Jesus. Forget all preconceived ideas and wait on God.

Rob OK

Your wood working skills are amazing !

Why did you convert the 40 foot bus, when you have a house also?

Le “How internally damaged we all are. “ yes - we spend out entire lives learning who we are

Rob” I agree

Shalom
