I have heard only three sermons over my 40 years + as a baptized SDA member since 1981 on the subject of steps to Christ and every preach lists surrender as the highest step of them all as some nebulous condition few SDA people have reached.
So being a beginner I went with the sermon claims and hid the messages in my heart.

This study goes through all 6 statements of Mrs White in her book "Steps to Christ"
My comments about surrender especially listening to a SDA preacher at Kingaroy SDA church is also interesting but disappointing.
It is still the same SDA cliches I have learned in the past. SO I add my experiences since the Lord has taught me over the years.
The important thing I stress is nobody is wrong or right in a relationship to God. God deals with us in the experiences we live up to.
However there is a deeper relationship every ongoing as we come closer to Jesus. Such an experience needs to be told to encourage others so we can approach the end of time correctly bringing glory to the Father's Name.
